Pramote Teerakul, managing director of Four Pattana, said yesterday most people were delaying decisions on investing in building a new home.
The home-building market is expected to reach Bt30 billion in Bangkok and its suburbs, down from Bt40 billion last year. Of that, Bt8 billion worth is controlled by 50 members of the Home Builders' Association, with the rest handled by small and medium home-builders, who are not members.
Despite the slower market, Four Pattana targets its revenues up 25 per cent to Bt500 million from last year's Bt400 million.
"We believe we'll achieve targeted revenues after reaching Bt206 million in the first half of the year," said Pramote.
The company would also launch a marketing campaign in the form of a fair called "Home-Builder 2007", to be held over five days from next Wednesday in the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
The company will launch its latest housing model there, along with a special promotion for fair visitors, involving a Bt1.5-million discount for houses priced up to Bt20 million and free interior decoration valued at Bt150,000 by Four Pattana Interior.
