Prime Minister's Office Minister Thirapat Serirangsan said www.todaythailand.com would go live on Thursday and would not be taken down until this government's term expires.
The site is in English and Thai. Contributions will come from within and outside the government, he said.
The website will defend the government against allegations the Assets Examination Committee ordered an unfair freeze of the assets of the Shinawatra family. It will also expose alleged corruption by the Thaksin government.
The achievements of the military-backed government will be a highlight, Thirapat said.
The Cabinet will today consider approval for the public to lodge complaints against the government at www.webportal1111.go.th.
The website is linked to the prime minister's operation centre, he said. This will ensure "efficient complaint processing" and the prime minister's attention to grievances. - The Nation
Six arrested for July 21 murder
Police in Bangkok yesterday arrested a Wang Thonglang council adviser for allegedly masterminding the killing of a man in Chachoengsao on July 21.
Phichitchai Diloksri was arrested at a house in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 39 yesterday morning.
Crime Suppression Division officers on Sunday arrested three other men and a woman for allegedly shooting Niphon Phoomasjaroenkul and then setting his vehicle on fire at a Chachoengsao farm.
Phichitchai denied the murder and conspiracy charges.
Police said they would prove the five jointly killed Niphon over a dispute that arose from an illegal charter-van business.
Phichitchai, a former councillor, was also charged with illegal possession of weapons after police found an assault rifle, three shotguns and a pistol at his home, along with 11 black hoods.
The suspects arrested on Sunday are Anulak Nimnual, Surajate Maimas, Rungroj Panlueng and Supreeya Sunthornwat.
Supreeya allegedly lured the victim to the farm where the three men killed him, Colonel Chaiwat Kateworrachai said.
The officer said police found a connection between all five suspects and convicted drug dealer Thawatchai Rattanasonthaykul, who is Supreeya's husband.
Police are looking into a drug connection in the killing and are seeking two more suspects.
