The two are very different. A job is something you do to get money. A career is the path of your life. The average adult spends more time at work than at home!

What is the most important question you should be asking? - "What do I love doing?"

The second is: "What am I good at?"

As an example, I enjoy writing and I also enjoy underwater photography. Over the years, I have had many articles and pictures published in many dive magazines ... and made a lot of extra money in the process. I love learning about the mind and philosophy. I also love teaching. For many years I had my own company teaching a philosophy I developed called Transformational Thinking. I was not only successful, I was happy and that is the key to success.

Do what you love, something that involves your natural talents, and the money will come. If you only go after the money, you may become rich but will that really make you happy or fulfilled?

I think today too many people are focused on money and the material things they can buy with it. Money cannot buy you happiness.

Learn the difference between what you want and what you need.

You will, after a little thought, discover you may want a lot of things but you really only need very little to be truly happy. Some of the happiest people I have met have been very poor, while some of the richest people I have met have been very unhappy.

I always hated the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

My reply: "I want to be the best me I can."
