Oxford student under close TRT surveillance ...

Nope, it's a girl: a beautiful young woman named Proudpud. Since she flew back to Thailand, the veter¬an politician just hasn't been as focused on the issues as usual - he's always stalking her, wanting to know her every move.

Of course, she is his only daughter.

Currently studying at Oxford University in England, Proudpud and her brother have come home for their vacation. She's spending it as an intern at the National Economic and Social Development Board, whose secretarygeneral is a pal of her dad.

Her boss has to keep reassuring Suwat that, though Proudpud is a beauty, no one's flirting with her.

Still, that phone is burning.

One good thing about sending the kids to school in Britain - they learn a bit of discipline.

And Suwat's daughter has picked up the etiquette of switching off her mobile at work.

Or at least that's what she tells her dad.

That accounts for a lot of his phone time - ever since English manners got through to her, he's not getting through to her. So instead he calls his buddy - her boss - to check that's everything's okay.

Suwat has to admit, though, that Proudpud is showing some determination: she never leaves the office early. He pointed out that, hey, this is Thailand - government employees don't work hard! But she's sticking to her stiff upper Oxford lip.

Maybe she's just staying at the office late to put off switching the mobile back on again and being deluged by the old man's calls. Just imagine the size of their international phone bill while she's in the UK!
