SEC tackles unregistered futures broker
The Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday filed charges against a company and 7 individuals to the National Police Office.
Facility Aviation Support (Thailand) Co Ltd and the 7 individuals were involved in FAST Thailand Co Ltd, an unregistered futures brokerage company.
The SEC said in the statement today that FAST Thailand deals with futures on crude oil price, Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index, and Hang Seng Index.
It added that there is evidence that the company might have been cheating.
The public should be alert for their investment and should check if their brokers own a proper license from the authorities, the SEC said.
