
Saying that Pakorn is qualified for the position, she said the exchange still waits for the official nomination from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
There have been rumours that Pakorn, former secretary-general of the SEC, would be nominated for the exchange chairmanship. If appointed, Pakorn will replace Vijit Supinit.
"This remains a rumour. We're now waiting for the SEC nomination and then, the SET board will have to discuss and opt for the most qualified," Vijit said.
