The anti-junta group earlier said it planned to continue its rally at Sanam Luang as usual on that day by sharing the public ground with city authorities who are to hold events to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile, Sawai Saengchaet, a leader of a former communist insurgent group in the Northeast, yesterday denied a claim by a key member that the group would join in the DAAD protests at Sanam Luang.
He said only a few members of the group wanted to protest while the majority did not want to hurt society more.
