ThaiBev in talk to acquire Wrangyer energy drink

Thai Beverage Plc (ThaiBev), the Singaporelisted beverage conglomerate, is negotiating with the Vesvarute family, owner of Wrangyer Beverage Co Ltd, which produce Wrangyer energy drink, for an acquisition possibility.

"Our attention to takeover Wrangyer energy drink business is quite simple," said ThaiBev Director & Executive Vice President, Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi.

"It is a strategic approach of ThaiBev in investing in any potential and diversified beverage businesses that could contribute good business benefit to the company overall," he said.

Thapana added that the acquiring of Wrangyer energy drink would help ThaiBev in creating new valueadded benefit in expanding its product portfolio from the utilization of its existing distribution network.

According to Thapana, ThaiBev has currently operated 12 distilled factories for white liquor products, four factories for blended whiskies, and three brewery facilities for its beer products.
