The SET index closed down 0.44 per cent to 859.76 on Tuesday with low trading volume of Bt22.74 billion.
Dealers said there was profit taking particular in energy stocks after last week sharp rally.
The most active stock was PTT falling 2.48 per cent to Bt314, while Rayong Refinery was down 2.82 per cent to Bt24.1. PTT Exploration and Production decreased by 1.54 per cent to Bt128, while Thoresen Thai Agencies rose 7.92 per cent to Bt54.5. - The Nation
