Thai sprinters claim two more gold in Asian Championships

Thai athletes make a clean sweep of both gold on offer in the men's and women's 4x100m relay on the final day of the Asian Championships in Jordan

Former track queen Supawadee Khawpeag anchored an awesome quartet to win the women's 4x100m relay gold, the Kingdom's three times in a row, in the Asian Championships in Jordan, while the men's foursome including speedster Wachara Sondee also regained the lost pride in the previous two editions to win the 4x100m relay in grand style. Thailand finished eighth in the championships, which ended on Sunday. China topped the medal standing with seven gold, four silver and four bronze, followed by India (5-5-5) and Saudi Arabia (5-0-0). Thailand claimed three gold including the first-ever javelin gold from Buaban Pamang on July 26.
