Marca said that Real have agreed to pay Arsenal 9.2 million euros (12.6 million dollars) for the Spanish winger, who was on loan at Real last season in exchange for Julio Baptista.

New Real coach Bernd Schuster is keen to have Reyes in his squad.

According to Marca, Reyes is to sign a four-year contract with Real and to be presented to the media on Monday or Tuesday.

Marca also said that Real will present Dutchmen Arjen Robben and Royston Drenthe as new signings next Wednesday, or next Thursday "at the latest".

Real will pay around 30 million euros (41.09 million dollars) to Chelsea for Robben - despite the insistence of Chelsea coach Jose Mourninho that the winger is not leaving - and around 10 million euros (13.69 million dollars) to Feyenoord for Drenthe.

There is also speculation that Schuster wants Germany captain and Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack after the coach told German ARD television on Friday that Ballack "fits perfectly to Real Madrid."

"I can very well imagine him playing for my team. He would be the link between midfield and attack and would really be perfect," Schuster said of Ballack who has failed to make impression in his first season at Chelsea. dpa
