

Official inspect a wrecked coach about to plunge down eight metres down an embankment at an accident scene in Nakhon Ratchasima on Saturday morning. Two people are killed and 23 others are injured.
Driver Watchara Jaichuang, 35, who suffered a broken leg, told police a tyre on the left side of the bus exploded while the bus was speeding towards the elevated bridge, causing him to loose control of the vehicle which was fully loaded with passengers from Mor Chit bus terminal. Police detained the driver for further investigation.
Earlier, another accident took place in Loei's Nong Hin sub-district. Two people were killed and ten injured after a speeding Mitsubishi pickup truck collided with an Isuzu D-Max pickup truck at an intersection on Maliwan Road.
A following pickup truck then rammed into the rear of the Mitsubishi truck, with the impact sending it head-on into the path of a passing by 18-wheel truck. Rescue workers managed to pull the injured out of the wrecked vehicles at 3am, but the Isuzu truck driver Somdee Chaisad, 66, and passenger Tinnakorn Sodama died on the way to hospital.
