Hungary rejects Thai desk lamps

Thailand's commerce office reported from Brussels that Hungary has rejected table lamps from Thailand, due to substandard safety features.

As part of European Union's procedure to screen substandard products, Hungary reported that the electric wire of the unbranded lamps is not properly covered and it could lead to short-circuits. Moreover, the plugs could not meet the safety standard.

EU has pulled the product out of the market and recalled those sold items.
