This is the claim made by sports daily Marca on Monday.
Marca claims that Valencia have received an offer for Del Horno from Bayern Munich, but the player has said that he will only leave Mestalla if he is offered more than the 1.8 million euros (2.48 million dollars) per season he is earning at present.
Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores is keen to offload Del Horno, who was signed from Chelsea a year ago for 7.5 million euros, on a six-year contract.
Quique is so keen to be rid of Del Horno, 26, that he has excluded him from the club's pre-season training camp in Holland.
Del Horno played in just six "Liga" matches last season, due to a reurrent heel injury which caused him to miss the 2006 World Cup finals.
Last week it seemed that Barcelona might be interested in him but the Catalans have denied this possibility.
A temporary solution for the Del Horno problem, according to the digital version of AS on Monday, would be for Valencia to loan him out to his original club Athletic Bilbao for a season.
