Valencia having doubts about Gonzalez, interested in Kallstrom

The two papers claims that Valencia have been put off by FC Porto asking for at least 16 million euros (22.1 million dollars) for Gonzalez.

New Valencia sporting director Miguel Angel Ruiz is unwilling to spend so much on a midfielder, and has turned his attention to Kim Kallstrom of Lyon.

Wesley Sneijder of Ajax is another alternative, but Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores seems unconvinced.

On Friday Valencia presented to the media their fourth summer signing, former Spain defender Ivan Helguera.

Helguera, 32, has arrived on a free transfer from Real Madrid and has signed a three-year contract.

Valencia's other three signings are Timo Hildebrand (Vfb Stuttgart), Alexis Ruano (Getafe) and Javier Arizmendi (Deportivo Coruna). dpa
