The film was selected as Best of Puchon by the Puchon Choice jury and the European Fantastic Film Festival Federation Asian award by the federation's jury.

It became the latest Thai film to be bought by Hollywood's Weinstein Studio for remaking. That happened when the film participated in the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Canada.

Two Thai films including "Khon Fai Bin" ("Dynamite Warrior") joined the Korean festival this year, which ran from July 12 to today.

The festival is the biggest focusing on fantasy and genre themes. Thai films which have been entered in this festival include "Fah Talai Jone" ("Tears of the Black Tiger") and "Nai Asoke Kab Nangsao Ploenchit" ("Suicide Me"), which took the Best Actress award for Nat Wattanapat in 2004.
