Thailand's Kunchala Voravichitchaikul and Songphon Anukrittayawa beat Valeri Sorokina and Vitalij Durkin of Russia 21-23 21-11 21-17 to reach the mixed double semi-finals in the Philippines Open Badminton Championships in Manila yesterday.

The Thai pair next take on top seed Indonesian world No 2 Lilyana Natsir and Nova Widianto, who the Thai players had lost to in their all previous encounters.
