BAY loses Bt8.8 bn in 2Q
Bank of Ayudhya announced on Friday it recorded net loss of Bt8.81 billion in the second quarter 2007, compared to a net profit of Bt1.61 billion in the same period last year.
The bank attributed the huge loss to the its provision for the International Accounting Standard 39 (IAS 39).
As of June 30, 2007, the bank recorded Bt645,260 million in total assets, Bt421,599 million in loans (after allowance for doubtful accounts), Bt526,776 million in deposits. - The Nation
