Net security move
Benchachinda Holdings, owned by the Bencharongkul family, has entered into Internet security management by acquiring a 30-per-cent stake in information technology company ACIS i-Secure.
Benchachinda president Vichai Bencharongkul yesterday said the acquisition, worth about Bt3 million, was made early this month.
BOT requirement
The requirement that the Bank of Thailand's inflation-targeting policy be approved by the Cabinet to reflect the bank's accountability to the public is in line with international standards, a central-bank official said yesterday.
Speaking about draft amendments to the Bank of Thailand Act, Mathee Supapongse, director of the Office of Macroeconomic Policy and Analysis, said once the amended Act was implemented, the central bank would be able to issue bonds without permission from the Finance Ministry.
