
Ampon, as one of the Monetary Policy Committee members which on Wednesday cut the policy rate by 25 basis points rather than 1-1.5 percentage points as suggested by some economists, said in steering the economy, if the actions are not in line with fiscal disciplines, the Thai economic fundamentals could be affected.
"Steeper rate cut could pose inflationary risks next year and could hurt Thailand's economic fundamentals," he said.
