AEC freezes Bt1.9 billion more

The Assets Examination Committee (AEC) on Monday froze Thaksin's family assets worth Bt1.9 billion, for the eighth time.

The accounts were belonging to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's wife Pojaman and her son Panthongtae.

The money was from the Shin Corp share sale worth Bt73.3 billion in January last year.

AEC spokesman Sak Korsaengruang said the AEC has so far frozen Bt65 billion worth of assets of Thaksin and his family.
