Prajak said the man had fever, cough, exhaustion and pneumonia and was admitted on Friday.

"Test results will be available in one or two days after which we will be able to confirm whether he died of bird flu," Prajak added.

The man lived next door to his elder brother's cockfighting yard. Recently some of the birds had died of unknown causes.
