The Emporium was built, and Bangkok shoppers saw that it was good. No longer would Thai bank accounts have to shudder under the weight of airfares to Paris to buy Louis Vuitton and Hermes.
A decade on, it's impossible for Kriengsak to top the mall's original grand opening, so he's settled for a massive extravaganza called "Emporium Ooh La La … Le 10th Annniversaire".
Stars will stud the event this Thursday, among them socialite-models MR Srikhumrung Yukol and ML Kalayakorn Kasemsi Na Ayudhya.
Only one thing lies beyond Kriengsak's control: His beautiful young wife Chalida "Nok" Taochalee is pregnant, so he's going to have to be paying her some dedicated attention. He may be a super success in supermalls, but for the next little while he's booked up in husband and daddy land.
