Henry Trans and Brian Hall
In the Krungsri Imax Theatre in Siam Paragon, Harry Potter was presented in an exciting 3D version. Filmgoers saw Harry and his pals riding a Hippogrif out of the eight-storey-screen and came face to face with Harry and Voldemort during their fight scene. They saw Harry standing on the life-size chess board, on which your life depends on the outcome of each move. The three-hour film was shown in 3D for its last 20 minutes.
The theatre lobby was turned into the Hogwarts School with model owls on display - they're a pet of Harry. Guests were invited to be marked with body paint with the words "Harry Potter" and a picture of a phoenix. Dancers in wizard-like costumes performed magic shows for more than 300 guests.
The film follows the story of Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts in which the Ministry of Magic stages a hostile takeover of the school and Harry and his companions in the self-proclaimed Dumbledore's Army have to fend off Lord Voldemort and his cronies to recover the Prophecy which unites them. This fifth film in the Harry Potter series, although not the first to be shown on Imax screens, is the first to contain segments converted into 3D, turning this already spectacular film into something out of this world.
