Bank of Thailand Governor Tarisa Watanagase said in the joint press conference with Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn that there would be no longer limit on portfolio and direct investment by listed companies.

Meanwhile, Chalongphob said there would be no more measure to stem the baht, especially the measures which could shock the market.

In this regard, there are no plans to introduce a capital gains tax on investment in the local stock market, he said.
