Sharp targets Bt3.6bn revenue

Sharp Thai, a joint venture between Sharp Thebnakorn and Thai City Electric, targets to achieve the revenue of Bt3.6 billion this year despite the domestic market slowdown.



  Managing director Kazuo Sasaki said around 30 per cent of total revenue will come from audio visual products particularly LCD televisions, of which total market is forecast to grow 50 per cent to 70 per cent this year.

  Sharp-branded televisions are the fourth rank in domestic market, while the current market leader is Samsung.  

  The company has four main business units, audio-visual and office automation, home appliances, document system and solar cell.
