Suraphand Bhasitnirandr has been appointed as executive vice president in charge of the trading business.
"Under the corporate restructuring, Loxley has divided the company into five main businesses: technology and IT, projects, services, joint ventures and trading. Under my supervision, the trading business will be strengthened so that we achieve the target revenue of about Bt10 billion [for trading] this year," Suraphand said. The trading business covers the distribution of consumer products, chemicals, construction materials and elevators/escalators, as well as a call centre.
Suraphand said Loxley's policy was to grow with partners and more distribution centres would be set up across the country. Meanwhile, its call centre will become more active to facilitate the expansion.
Loxley has recently established L Direct as a direct-sales arm to market products directly to buyers.
"We believe the direct-selling business will increase substantially. Three months after opening, the company has registered a number of members and its sales last month exceeded Bt10 million. By the end of this year, monthly sales should exceed Bt20 million," the executive said.
