The board of directors and the management of The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok recently announced the appointment of Michael J. Perdikaris as  the new General  Manager.

Perdikaris  is a Greek national with a broad and varied hotel management background. He has extensive hotel experience and has worked in Thailand for over seven years. His experiences have included working with some outstanding hotels in a number of very different locations with various international management companies in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Michael gained extensive management experience with The Amari Group of hotels in Phuket and Bangkok. He joined the  Accor group  as Resident Manager of the Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square for almost 4 years and then was promoted  as General Manager of the Sofitel Palm Resort & Golf Country Club in Johor Bahru, Malaysia where he stayed for 2 and a half years.

He was then given  the  challenge of  opening  as General Manager The  Novotel Hydro Majestic-Kuala Lumpur  which is  strategically located in the Golden Triangle of the city next to the famous Petronas Twin  Towers.  The hotel was successfully opened in September 2006 and the Novotel brand name was again launched in Kuala Lumpur.   

Perdikaris is very happy to be back in Thailand and especially at the helm of the famous Ambassador Hotel. He is very confident that  with the upcoming renovation programs, the hotel will regain again its high profile position in the very competitive Bangkok Hotel environment.
