As the "Super Fans" of Mickey's Summer Blast, Jiro Wang and Aaron Yan from Fahrenheit, joined Bill Ernest, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland and Jasmine Law, 2007 Hong Kong Disneyland Ambassador, at the forecourt of the Sleeping Beauty Castle before immersing themselves in the wet, wild and animated entertainment and attractions that will open to the public on July 14, 2007.

Making their dazzling debut are Mickey's WaterWorks Parade, a brand new, vibrantly waterful, parade, and Animation Academy, where budding artists of all ages can learn to draw loveable Disney characters.

"We're thrilled to welcome Mickey's Summer Blast Super Fans, Aaron and Jiro, to our special preview today. As Aaron and Jiro have experienced, it's time get out your best tropical shirts, sunglasses and sun hats because Mickey's Summer Blast is a holiday for everyone!" said Mr. Ernest. "This summer, Hong Kong residents and international visitors alike will discover that the best way to stay cool, animated and wild is to party all day at Hong Kong Disneyland!"

Here's a round up of Disney's magic that guests can expect during Mickey's Summer Blast, which runs through the summer:

"GET WET!"

Mickey's WaterWorks is a splashy, new day parade created exclusively for Hong Kong Disneyland to keep guests wet and cool all summer long!

With the searing summer heat, Mickey and his pals have taken on the task of keeping the landscape at Hong Kong Disneyland lush and beautiful. Using a variety of sprinklers, hoses and spouts, the gang are ready to water the plants - and the guests!

As a sensational complement to the regular Disney on Parade at 1pm, Mickey's WaterWorks Parade will appear each day at 3:30pm. Presented by Bonaqua mineralized water, a series of brand new floats will join by 100 energetic performers including 30 Disney characters to perform water filled antics to an original musical score. Guests can join in the splashtastic extravaganza or keep dry at the designated dry zones as indicated in the Times Guide.

In order to keep guests cool and refreshed, the Main Street Water Brigade, comprising three comedic "firefighters", will surprise guests several times a day with splashy performances!

"GET ANIMATED!"

Animation Academy is the newest interactive and educational experience at Hong Kong Disneyland this summer to inspire creativity in guests and allow imaginations to soar.

Located next to "The Disneyland Story" on Main Street U.S.A., guests can pick up a pencil and learn how to draw their favorite Disney characters from talented Disney Artists. This is a rare opportunity to take part in the Disney creative process and learn how to perfect the art of drawing - a career as a Disney Artist might not be far off!

In a studio setting, with a feeling of yesteryear, a maximum of 66 guests per session will sit at wooden desks or benches throughout the room. Disney Artist will sit at the front on a slightly raised platform. Using a camera and projection system, guests will clearly see the simple step on a screen.

Apart from fine tuning their artistic skills at Animation Academy, guests can also "Get Animated" by dancing with Stitch and his pals in Stitch's Summer Blast Dance Party each day, as the forecourt of Sleeping Beauty Castle is transformed into an electrifying beach party. Guests can boogie to summer favorites while grooving with dancers sporting colorful beach gear as well as hula hoops, beach balls, maracas and more. Stitch and his pals will step out to take photos right after the dance party. Throughout the day, Mickey and Minnie will remain in the all summer Town Square gazebo to meet guests in their brand new Hawaiian outfits.

While Custodial Cast Members bring the pavement to life with artistic water creations near Town Square with mops and water. The sounds of summer will be brought to life by the Summer Blast Boys who entertain guests by singing contemporary tunes in a cappella style..

The two brand new Carnival Games "Nemo's Puzzle Challenge" and "Under the Sea" which allow guests to win the underwater treasures at Fantasyland are sure to heighten the summer spirit.

"GET WILD!"

Due to popular demand, Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew of rowdy pirates will continue to "Get Wild" with guests at the Pirate Takeover, in Pirateland. This totally immersive and interactive pirate experience will continue to sail through the summer until the end of August.

In support of Mickey's Summer Blast, Captain Jack Sparrow has ordered his mischievous pirates to wash the planks of Pirateland in Pirates Swab the Deck, a new comedic performance filled with watery antics. In the cleaning frenzy, guests will get wet as well!

Guests can continue to learn how to be a pirate in "Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Boot Camp" or sing and dance to rowdy pirate music in "Pirates Procession". Don't forget to win more exclusive pirate treasure in fun carnival games or by cracking the secret code throughout Pirateland in Treasure Hunt! Guests can also win their summer prizes by trying their luck at another brand new Carnival Game Tiki Toss.

What's more? Over 1,000 merchandise items and limited edition products with a variety of themes will be released. From plush toys and pins to souvenirs and stationery, these colorful keepsakes will make true collector items or gifts for friends and family.

For food lovers, new splashy summer menus in the Park and two Disney Hotels will refresh palates and offer a delectable culinary journey! The chefs at Hong Kong Disneyland have outdone themselves by mixing the summer spirit with original dishes.
