Amaret officially charged
Former Financial Sector Restructuring Authority Chairman Amaret Sila-On was yesterday officially informed of the charges by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).
Amaret was charged of malfeasances related to the FRA's sale of residential loans to Lehman Brothers. If convicted, he could face 1-10 years of imprisonment or Bt2,000-Bt20,000 fine, or both.
A DSI official said Amaret will submit his written testimony on July 25.
Amaret, on his appearance at the DSI's office, declined to answer any questions.
