The RID had been provid¬ing continuous reports on environmental and water resources to His Majesty, Samart said, including information on global warming - a topic about which His Majesty had expressed particular con¬cern.

Many international organ¬isations had also provided His Majesty with reports on the problem.

Samart said the King was concerned about affected areas and had instructed the agency to implement solutions based on commu¬nity participation.

He said a mobile phone message campaign, to report on the condition of water resources in Thailand, would be launched at the end of this month, to keep citizens - especially in risky areas - informed about and pre¬pared for natural disasters and water crises.
