One busy guy, Petch has just released his latest album, "Let's Talk About Love", and now he's appearing in Fabrice Du Welz's movie "Vinyan" as well.
His character in the flick is a tycoon from Phuket (as opposed to Bangkok or Chiang Mai). The film's about a couple who get separated from their child in the tsunami chaos. Their search takes them into dangerous territory on the Burmese border and then into the jungle.
The location shoots were all in Krabi, which can be dangerous and junglish if you squint your eyes.
Petch had been reluctant to take the role, but the script and the director changed his mind. "It's an art film, and I figured it was something I'd never done before, so I gave it a shot," says the serial dabbler in all the arts.
He was late joining the cast, so Petch's name isn't yet among the credits on the Internet Movie Database. He'll get there, though, and take Thaksin's name with him.
