Protester released
Police yesterday released Sombat Boon-ngamanong after his arrest in Chiang Rai on Friday night on charges of staging a protest against the junta and the new charter.

His arrest prompted Bangkok anti-dictatorship activist Suchart Nakbangsai to enter Army headquarters on Rajdamnoen Avenue yesterday evening to demand Sombat's release.
After an hour, soldiers took Suchart to nearby Nang Lerng police station to be charged. -
