Thai Airways is offering a special rate for travellers aged 55 years and up. Passengers can enjoy the "Rhythm of West" package to England, France, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Russia or South Africa for Bt26,500 return in economy class or opt for the "Colour of East" campaign, which takes in Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia at prices starting from Bt4,500 for a roundtrip ticket in economy class.

For tickets purchased under the campaign by September 30, passengers will be entitled to a "Dream Card", which offers a 5-per-cent discount for the next ticket purchased on THAI. Passengers must travel before September 30.

Bargain fares

Bangkok Airways offers American Express cardholders special prices for return tickets on all routes - Phuket (Bt6,050), Sukhothai (Bt4,500), Trat (Bt5,200), Fukuoka (Bt30,000), Hiroshima (Bt30,000), Luang Prabang (Bt13,130), Maldives (Bt28,000), Phnom Penh (Bt8,000), Siem Reap (Bt9,920) and Rangoon (Bt11,560).

Booking is now available through the Internet (www.bangkokair.com) for travel before September 30.

HONG KONG

Shop till you drop

Fly Cathay Pacific or Dragonair to Hong Kong and shop until you drop at the Hong Kong Shopping Festival. The "Visit Hong Kong" promotion starts at Bt13,300 per person, and includes return tickets in economy class, three-day/two-night accommodation at a hotel of choice, airport taxes, security charges and airport transfer by coach.
