All Square for Thailand and Iraq

    Thailand was locked 1-1 with Iraq in their Asian Cup Group A curtain raiser which was competed under the persistent rain at the Rajamangala National Stadium on Saturday.

   Thailand got off to a great start when Sutee Suksomkit  netted his penalty in the 6 th minute to push his team upfront first as fans roared in jubilant

    But Iraq who never proceeded beyond the quarter-finals in the Asian premier tournament found the equalizer in the 32 nd minute following a header from Yiubes Khalef.

     Thundering shower sprinkled Ramkamheang area where the stadium is situated a few hours before the game, which caused heavy traffic and flood. But thousands of fans defied the undesirable condition to witness the game.
