Strict control on oil vapour

The Energy Business Department has imposed the state II control measure, which will force oil retailers in 23 districts in Bangkok to install oil vapour controlling equipment.

The measure will take effect in the next two years.

Metta Banturngsuk, director-general of the department, said the measure will be imposed due to huge demand and population density in the districts.

Covered by the measure include Khlong Toey, Sathorn, Bang Sue, Bang Rak, Pathumwan, Phya Thai, Chatuchak, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok Noi, Phranakhon, Yannawa and Watana.
