A yacht battles against winds and sea in the Phuket Race Week
[SAILING] With just under three weeks to go before the opening event, the 2007 Phuket Race Week between July 19 and 22 has already attracted a significant number of entries with close to 40 yachts confirming participation even before registration officially begins.
Now in its fourth edition, the event is a week of professionally-run, international-standard yacht racing, off Phuket's East Coast from the organizers of the Phuket Boatshow.
Almost since the beginning, Raimon Land has been a leading sponsor of this international event, which is getting bigger and better each year. While this "Green Season" regatta attracts boats from throughout Asia, it is more of a Thailand-focused event.
Marketing Director Raimon Land Henri Young said: "Raimon Land has made a strong commitment to the yachting and sailing scene in Thailand. We feel that the Phuket Race Week, and other events such as the Top of the Gulf Regatta and the Phuket King's Cup Regatta, are in line with our lifestyle developments strategy and we look forward to another week of sailing action in Phuket's crystal-clear waters."
Raimon Land invites all to join the races and the social activities, especially on Saturday, July 29th at the Raimon Land party at Ratri Jazztaurant on Kata beach.
