The first meeting of the match, which was the Thai team's final warm-up in the run-up to the forthcoming Asian Cup tournament, was called off due to a heavy downpour at half-time when the game was tied 1-1. Chanvit said he might shuffle his team on the right for the rearranged match after right back Suree Sukha recovered from diarrhoea symptoms.
"We will still use the game to test the players. The line-up would possibly be the same as on Saturday. If there are any changes, it would be Suree who replaces Apichet [Pudtan] at right back, and Suchao [Nuchnum] comes in to play on the right in the midfield," said Chanvit.
Chanvit also said that a special match tomorrow, in which the Cup team aspirants will play against each other, would go ahead as scheduled, shrugging off concerns that the game could make the players jaded. He reasoned that he wanted to give players, particularly the ones who did not take part in the Qatar match, a chance to prove themselves before picking the final 23-member side.
Admission is free for the friendly match that will kick off at 7.35pm.
Meanwhile, Chanvit and the Thai team players, who appeared for the first time in Nike suits, yesterday attended the Football Festival event at Future Park Rangsit to stir up public interest before the continental top flight competition begins next week.
