In the snatch, both Praphawadee and Chinese Li Ping - the Asian Games gold medallist - succeeded in lifting 96kg.
However, the Thai (52.50kg) took the gold medal because she weighed less than the Chinese.
Li displayed her awesome talent by taking the remaining two gold medals. She set a new world record of 129kg in the clean and jerk and won the Olympic total with 225kg.
Praphawadee had to settle for two silver medals after lifting 122kg in the jerk for a total lift of 218kg.
Yu Wei-li of Hong Kong took home three bronze medals.
Wandee Kameaim, the bronze medallist at the Athens Olympics, gave Thailand three silver medals in the women's 58kg division yesterday.
Chinese Qiu Hongmei, who beat Wandee in the snatch and the Olympic total at the World Championships last year, made a clean sweep of the three gold medals in the class.
Another Thai in the division, Sureerat Thongsuk, a bronze in the snatch, while two bronze3 medals went to India's Chanu Yumnam.
Earlier, the Kingdom took three silver medals and two bronze medals through Premsiri Boonpitak and Pensiri Lao-sirikul respectively in the women's 48kg division on Saturday.
