Sombat victorious

[GOLF] Sombat Kaenvijitr clinched the Flight A gross score title at The Nation's Hole-in-One Tournament at the Muang Kaew Golf Course on Wednesday.

The year-long event, organised by Nation Multimedia Group, has grown in popularity after three successful years in which more than 1,000 golfers, both expatriates and locals, have entered.

The tournament is exclusively reserved for golfers who sink an ace across the country and is held at Muang Kaew on Bangna-Trat Road on the third Wednesday of each month.

The contest is split into three categories and applies a strokeplay format. The champions of the three divisions from each qualifying event are eligible for the grand finale, The Nation's Swing Challenge at Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Course in February next year when a Volkswagen Passat 2.3 V5 worth Bt1.59 million will be up for grabs.

This month marked the second leg, so ace-makers have nine more months to participate in the country's premier tournament. Nation Multimedia Group's customer service centre can be contacted on 02-340 1575 for more information.
