Oh, for that glow
The bronzed look is always hot, especially for girls with a glowing tan.
Think Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez. The trick is to make your skin shine like you are in the sun, and to do that all you need is a little touch of bronze on the cheeks. You could also frame the face with bronze powder to get that glowing look.
Stila Sun 'N Highlighter (Bt1,150) has both a bronzer and a highlighter. Thai makeup artist Nick Barose, who has worked on Beyonce, suggests applying the bronzer lightly around the face and then shading it for a frame effect. The highlighter should be applied on the features you want to emphasise. If you have pretty eyes, apply the highlighter on the side of your eyes. If you want to make your nose look sharper, apply it on the tip.
Body Shop Sun Dome Bronzer (Bt1,050) can also be used both for the face and body to create a sexy shimmer. Dust lightly where the sun naturally touches the face like the cheeks, forehead and chin. The bronzer contains pink and pearl shades that add to the sparkle.
To create a colour variation to the bronze look, MAC's Lure collection looks fantastic with a tan. Eye shadows that go well with bronze are Idol Eyes, a silvered violet with gold lustre touch and Waternymph, a frosted soft teal with emerald pearl. The price is Bt650.
Before selecting any of these bronzers though, remember to try them on and walk out into the sunlight to see if the shade looks okay outdoors as well as in artificial light.
And if you can't be bothered with the eyes, Adidas has launched a new eyewear collection for outdoors. The shades are anti-fog and protect against UVA and UVB rays. They're going for Bt8,650 each.
