A string of sweet-coloured beads, colourful ribbons, cute bows and beautiful stones. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, belts and hair accessories. The new Mosstories accessories store in Siam Square, which looks like an art gallery with all its fabulous items on display, carries all these items and more.

"I want my creations to look like artworks that can communicate messages to customers - art lovers, teenagers, office workers and elders. They come to admire my designs," says Chutkeo Srisuwan, the owner of Mosstories.

A graduate of Thammasat University's Department of Drama Art, Chutkeo, 26, began the store as a hobby. She loves design and took a fashion design course at Chanaphat Institute. After she gained confidence in the design field, she opened a Mosstories shop in Suan Lum Night Bazaar last year, and a branch in Siam Square three months ago.

Chutkeo's store has plenty of modern-style accessories in white, black, gold and silver as well as vibrant colours. Many accessories can be used in different ways, such as a belt that can be turned into a necktie, scarf or headband.

"I used knowledge about drama and fashion design to create a unique line of handmade accessories inspired by Thai lifestyles of both the past and present. Each collection is like a different story. Collections are changed every three months," says Chutkeo. "My designs focus on a fun, mix-and-match style. I use common materials like beads, wood, bows, ribbons and clothing with graphic designs as well as chains. The products come from China and other countries."

Prices range from Bt200 to Bt1,500. Mosstories will launch a new line of products including bags, shoes and ornaments next month.

Disco

Make your outfit look perfect with a two-tone sparkling disco belt. They come in black and silver that can be turned into a cool necktie, scarf or headband. Cost is Bt700.

Beehive

A necklace of wooden links inspired by a honeycomb. Comes in yellow and green. It can be transformed into a belt. Price is Bt560.

Party bracelet

Part of the Midnight Winter collection, an attractive and glossy line of crystal bangles. Comes in black and white. Priced at Bt560.

Butterfly

This Bt500 butterfly-shaped necklace comes in white gold. There are a variety of colours.

Temple fair

A vivid-coloured cloth belt inspired by a Ferris wheel comes in pink and purple. It can be turned into a necklace or a brooch. There are a variety of colours and designs. Cost is Bt750.

Dreaming

A sweet-coloured necklace featuring ribbons and a string of breads. Comes in white and pink, and is priced at Bt890.
