Thai contract :Adani to prospect for oil, gas
The India-based Adani Group has won a bid to prospect for oil and natural gas in Thailand, less than a year after it bid successfully for two exploration blocks in India, The Mint newspaper reported last week.
Adani Port Infrastructure, one of the Ahmedabad-based group's firms, had bid for the Thailand onshore block last year, but the deal was inked only last week, due to Thailand's political instability. Adani now has a production-sharing agreement with the Thai government.Senior company officials claim the block is in a natural-gas-bearing basin.
