Thaksin asked to temple

A temple here sponsored by the Shinawatra family plans to invite former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to preside over a ceremony to make Jaktukam Ramathep amulets.

Phramaha Kamthorn Jirathammo, secretary of the Rontham Samakkhi Temple in San Kamphaeng district, said the temple planned to make 200,000 amulets and sell them for between Bt100 and Bt25,000 to raise funds.

The monk said that if Thaksin returned to Thailand in time, he would be invited to press the first talisman, though his wife could take his place.
