MAS launches low-cost flights

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) expects its Let's Fly Malaysia campaign to bring in 30 million ringgit (Bt285 million).

A total of 200,000 seats will be offered under an online promotion running from 9am yesterday until 11am tomorrow.

Fares will start from 10 ringgit for travel to five Asean destinations - Bangkok, Phuket, Cebu, Jakarta and Phnom Penh - from September 3-30. - The Star/ANN

Airport IT deal

Suvarnabhumi Airport has selected Intermec to supply a radio-frequency identification (RFID) and barcode system for its cargo-free zone.

The zone has some of the most up-to-date technology and services in the region.

RFID will be a core part of the IT system and will be used to track incoming and outgoing goods in the cargo warehouse and terminal. - The Nation
