Soymilk : Friesland Foods in Bt50m ad blitz

Friesland Foods Foremost (Thailand) is spending Bt50 million to advertise its second product in the Foremost Hi-5 Soymilk line - soymilk blended with red bean juice and Job's tears.
It expects the new product to help increase sales to Bt4.9 billion, with its UHT-soymilk market share rising to 10 per cent, from 8 per cent now. Sales of these products are expected to increase 20 per cent this year. It will concentrate on print, broadcasting and cinema advertising as well as sample giveaways. Singer Sukris "Bee" Viseskaew is the face of the new product. Ads will hit screens on Friday. The first product in this line launched in April was soymilk blended with carrot and berry extract.
Auto industry :Car production lower Car production dropped 1.9 per cent to 488,200 units in the first five months of the year, says the Federation of Thai Industries. Federation auto-industry spokesman Surapong Paisithpat-tanapong yesterday said car production last month alone increased 3.24 per cent year on year to 111,585 units. Of that total, 56,932 units were for export. Total auto exports in the first five months increased 12.68 per cent to 251,924 units. Domestic production fell 13.80 per cent to 236,276 units. Surapong said car exports reached 251,670 units, an increase of 15.55 per cent. They were worth Bt110.88 billion in the first five months of the year. In addition, total automobile parts and spare parts for export increased 13.94 per cent by value at Bt156.86 billion. Motorcycle exports increased 11.43 per cent to 718,834 units and were valued at Bt10.65 billion for the first five months of the year.
