Court dismisses lawsuit

The Criminal Court yesterday dismissed a lawsuit by Khunying Pojaman Shinawatra on grounds that she had "no cause" to charge graft busters with abuse of power.



'Signature drive still on'

Former MPs of the defunct Thai Rak Thai Party vowed yesterday to continue their campaign to collect signatures pleading for a royal amnesty for executives banned from politics for five years, despite efforts by the military to block the bid.



Judge denies bribe tip-off

Supreme Court president Panya Thanomrod has denied an allegation he refused a bribe designed to influence the electoral fraud verdict against the Thai Rak Thai Party after a judge alerted him to the issue.



Gothom offers services as mediator

National Economic and Social Advisory Council chairman Gothom Arya yesterday offered to serve as a go-between to ease the friction between the Council for National Security (CNS) and anti-coup groups.



Corruption not my area: PM

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said yesterday if he held talks with deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, they would not discuss corruption cases against him or his frozen assets.
