Pattana's new designs

Four Pattana yesterday introduced home designs from six building-material suppliers in a bid to achieve revenues of Bt500 million this year.
Managing director Pramote Thirakul yesterday said CPAC Roof Tile, TOA Paint (Thailand), the Haco Group (1991), Hefele (Thailand), Conwood and Safety Solution had all agreed to provide construction materials for the new home designs. The new designs will serve the needs of customers demanding quality materials, he said. Four Pattana is offering an 8-per-cent discount until next month for new customers choosing the housing designs starting at Bt4 million per unit. The company is spending Bt4 million on the month-and-a-half campaign in the hope of generating building jobs worth up to Bt20 million. From this event, prices of housing built by Four Pattana will be raised 4-5 per cent from the special price to cover construction costs, he said. "The home-building market now has high competition, while demand is growing slightly, so we have to launch our differentiated product," Pramote added. The overall market shows signs of staying close to last year's performance of Bt8 billion rather than the 2007 target of Bt10 billion out of home-owners' concern for their future earnings, which has caused them to put off decisions to build a house. The company has to launch its new product design and marketing concept to speed up revenue to meet this year's target. Its five-month sales of Bt200 million were nearly on target.
