Future Park Rangsit benefits from renovation

After Future Park Rangsit saw a 5-per-cent revenue boost in the first quarter from a Bt600-million renovation and rebranding, it is launching a zoning strategy to keep up the momentum.

The shopping complex will also launch the Gourmet Park Enjoy Eating Rally, with prizes for diners at more than 70 of its leading restaurants.

Ratana Anuntanupong, vice president for marketing at the mall's owner, Rangsit Plaza, yesterday said the mall expected to maintain its growth rate this quarter, thanks to zoning floors to accommodate customers better while shopping, eating and enjoying good times.

The company is positive it can accomplish its target for overall traffic growth of 10 per cent at Future Park Rangsit this year.

It has no plans to increase rents for tenants throughout this year. In addition, the complex's third floor, covering 3,000 square metres, is being renovated to create a fashion area with 200 shops.

During the past months, the mall has organised various campaigns and marketing activities to attract more customers. Future Park Rangsit welcomes about 130,000 visitors daily.

Ratana said that during the second half, the mall would apply a two-pronged marketing approach that includes more modern fairs to be organised by the operator itself.

For example, the upcoming Future Park Junior Talent Awards 2007 will be held as part of the company's effort to promote and support the development of children.

Another marketing effort is to team up with partners or to lease them space to hold events to reinforce the mall's image of a "complete lifestyle shopping park".

"Through promotions and public relations costing over Bt5 million along with numerous marketing strategies, all stores at Future Park Rangsit should enjoy about a 20-per-cent increase in sales. Together with the company's marketing strategies and developments to meet customer needs, we are confident that we will be able to grow according to plan," Ratana said.
