Thai takes two silver

[WEIGHTLIFTING] Thai weightlifters, who arrived from Prague only yesterday, captured nine medals, including one gold from Suda Chaleephay, in the World Junior Weightlifting Cham-pionships.

Late on Tuesday night, Natthaneeya Chapok handed Thailand its last two silver medals, lifting 115kg in the clean and jerk and an aggregate of 205kg in the Olympic Total in the women's 58kg event.

Li Xueying of China claimed all three gold medals in the category, lifting 102kg in the snatch and 123kg in the jerk for a combined weight of 225kg.

Korean Mun Yura lifted 92kg in the snatch to take the silver, while Colombian Lina Rivas and Natthaneeya lifted an identical 90kg weight. However, Rivas, who weighs 57.09kg against the Thai's 57.25kg, claimed the bronze due to her lighter body weight.
